We represented a 59 year old warehouse manager who was injured unloading a pallet of good from a trailer with a defective floor. Our client suffered multiple injuries and underwent a lumbar fusion and 2 shoulder surgeries. The case settled after two years of litigation with the help of mediation. 

$950,000 MEDICAL MALPRACTICE BRACHIAL PLEXUS BIRTH INJURY

Our firm represented a young boy and his family after he suffered a severe injury to the brachial plexus nerve branch between his shoulder and neck. The injury occurred during delivery. $220,000 Bicycle & Pedestrian Accident

Our firm represented an ederly woman who was walking on the lakefront path when she was hit from behind by a byclist causing he to fall and fracture her wrist and suffer multiple scrapes and bruises. This case took quite a bit of investigation. First, we had to locate the bicysclist and determine that he had homeowners insurance to provide compensation. Second, we took the deposition of the defendant who testified that he was riding a normal 10 speed bike with hand breaks. We subpoenaed the police video, where we were able to determine that the defendant was actually riding a fixed gear bike that did not have any breaks. After this new evidence was disclosed the defendants insurance company settled for over 4 times our client's medical bills. 

$212,000 WORKERS COMPENSATION SETTLEMENT

Our firm filed a Workers Compensation claim on behalf of our client, a union sheet metal worker, who suffered a lumbar disc herniation while lifting equipment on the job. After multiple medical and expert depositions, we were able to negotiate the above settlement for our client.

Our firm represented a 43 year old gentleman who injured his arm while working a tree and mulch facility. He suffered a severe dislocation injury, which required arthroscopic surgery. Although the client had permanent restrictions placed on him by his surgeon, he was able to return to his previous position. We negotiated this settlement based approximately 60% body as a whole due to the permanent work restrictions.

Our firm represented a woman and her daughter were were t-boned while driving West bound on Chicago Avenue in Chicago, IL. As a result of the car crash, our client suffered contusion to her arm, which required intensive physical therapy. We were able to convince the insurance company to tender their policy limits prior to filing a lawsuit.

Our firm represented a school a school teacher who fell from a step ladder in her classroom and fractured her hip. She required surgery and permanent pins in the her hip. I am particularly proud of the this award before the Workers' Compensation Commission as the Respondent withdrew a previous agreed settlement amount on the day of trial. We declined the low-ball offer and went to trial and received the above award which was $20,000.00 more than we were offered. 

$53,558.65 TRIAL AWARD

Our firm represented a mechanic who was pinned between to vehicle while at work. The client's employer did not have Workers' Compensation insurance, so we were forced to make a claim against the Injured Workers Benefit Fund ("IWBF"), which funds injured work award when the employer fails to carry insurance. We achieved this trial award after previously securing a settlement on the case filed in civil court filed against the driver and the owner of the truck that struck the client. 

$90,000 CAR ACCIDENT SETTLEMENT

Our firm represented a young women who was rear ended and suffered soft tissue injures to her neck and low back. The client underwent physical therapy and one epidural injection for her low back. Despite no structural damage or herniations in the back or neck, we were able to negotiate the above settlement prior to filing suit.
